During the quarantine I had the opportunity to change the direction of my attention. I realized that the challenges and the power of guiding and living my life was inside of me. So, I inverted the direction of my interest and attention and I started to look and walk towards the inside of myself, the space is infinite!!!
This tattoo was made a few days ago, as a reminder and recognition of the infinite path.
Jone San Martin Astigarraga was born in Donostia/San Sebastian in the Basque Country. Since 2015 she lives in Berlin. She is dancer, performer, choreographer and teacher of the Improvisation Technologies developed together with William Forsythe. After working freelance in Spain and Belgium, she joined in 1992 “The Ballett Frankfurt” under the direction of William Forsythe until 2004, and then “The Forsythe Company” until 2015. She was part of the first edition of Dance On Ensemble in Berlin and does collaborate with the second edition. She has created several works and with the sólo/conference, on Forsythe’s choreographic notation, “Legítimo/Rezo” she is touring all over the world. During all those years she has worked and collaborated with: William Forsythe, Nacho Duato, Jacopo Godani, Saburo Teshigawara, Fabrice Mazliah, Agnès Chekroun, Carlotta Sagna, Jan Lauwers, Jan Fabre, Josh Johnson, Tim Etchells, Matteo Fargion, Rabih Mroué, Deborah Hay, Jan Martens, Ersan Mondtag, Johannes Wieland, Mikel R Nieto, Emanuele Soavi, Susanne Kennedy.
