ATLAS 3 – Blu Blu Blu (2020)
Blu Blu Blu or: final finiteness. Part three of the ATLAS series by choreographer Emanuele Soavi.
3 artisitic disciplines (music / martial arts / dance) and 6 protagonists struggle with themselves and their desire to leave their mark.
Internationally acclaimed baroque violinist Nadja Zwiener, composer and sound designer Johannes Malfatti, performer Lisa Kirsch, dancer Federico Casadei and two Judokas – each of them a cosmos of their own, a body, an instrument, a machine.
Musically the evening is based on the Chaconne of the Partita no. 2 in D minor by J.S. Bach. An immersive sound and video installation constantly blurs the boundaries between the steady and the ethereal, between physical and musical bodies in an ever changing kaleidoscope of timbres and colours, here and there, now and then.
