Dialog of One is a multipart project seeking traces of almost forgotten dance artists from the beginning of the 20th century. In collaboration with researchers, students and partner institutions Emanuele Soavi investigates to what extent findings from that period can shape contemporary views on political protest and individuality in 2019. Do the works of Sebastian Droste, Julius Hans Spiegel or Sylvin Rubinstein contain hidden notions of criticism? And could a rather private confrontation with one’s own sexual identity turn out to be a special kind of political statement?
After his MYTH PROJECT and the series THE HABIT CYCLES Emanuele Soavi initiates his third multipart project in 2018. ATLAS is a quest for choreographic traces dedicated to the body in exceptional situations, individuals and their very personal narratives.
