Within the framework of “NEUSTART.KULTUR. Hilfsprogramm Tanz”, an initiative of the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and Media, the non-profit cultural organisation Diehl+Ritter strengthens with TANZPAKT RECONNECT the structures for professional work in dance, which have been weakened by the Corona crisis.
Emanuele Soavi incompany was selected for this purpose with its concept VOR ORT und UNTERWEGS (In Situ and On the Move). It includes the expansion of cooperations with large music institutions, orchestras and electronic composers with regard to production, communication and mediation. A repertoire strategy for the experimental formats will be developed in Cologne, thus creating the basis for sustainable production. In addition, new partnerships for new formats are to be created at local, regional and neighbouring international levels, which are becoming increasingly important, especially in times when classical stage formats are only partially realisable and tourable. In order to realise these goals, ESincompany is investing above all in the expansion of its personnel structure, in order to be able to strengthen and further develop artistic quality, visibility, exploitation and the networks in situ and while being on the move.

Laboratory on May 22nd and 23rd, 2021 in the Ehrenfeldstudios. In preparation for the production and the accompanying mediation formats, Emanuele Soavi and the sound artists / composers Johannes Malfatti and Stefan Bohne, together with dancers and musicians, questioned their own working methods and brought contemporary dance, electronic and instrumental music into a performative dialogue.
The creation phase is accompanied by a digital rehearsal diary, which is published in parts in the social media and offers extensive material for the final documentation.

Planned to kick off the new repertoire line, the revival of AUREA Installation on April 17 and 18, 2021, quickly turned into a film for the TanzFaktur digital stage.

New partnerships – new formats
ACTS – a virtual exhibition project From March 5 to April 18, 2021, this international network project reached around 10,000 visitors. It will be shown for the first time in November in the exhibition hall of the Alte Feuerwache.
WEITERMACHEN – a documentary film The film team Julia Franken and Cecilia Gläsker accompanied Emanuele Soavi’s work for six months from autumn 2020 to spring 2021 commissioned by iDAS NRW. The focus of the 12-minute documentary is the creation process of the ACTS exhibition project. First broadcast as part of the tanz nrw 21 festival.
Emanuele Soavi incompany has been a member of the Cologne Ehrenfeldstudios since January 2021. Here the studio doors will be opened regularly during the research and rehearsal phases in order to make the creative processes tangible and to provide exchange.

Together with the Ehrenfeldstudios Emanuele Soavi incompany has succeeded – based on the Italian funding program ‘Boarding Pass Plus 2021/22’ – to connect with Italian ensembles and producers as well as other partners in Amsterdam, Barcelona, Birmingham, Geneva, Leipzig, Marseille and Tipperary, to break new ground in cooperation.
A short portrait of the ensemble was created for the TANZLAND workshop, which, supplemented by excerpts from the pieces INVASION and RELICS, could be seen in the digital edition of the ‘Busan international dance festival 21’ from June 4 to 7, 2021.
